Record Breaking 31 Inch Snowstorm in Flagstaff, Arizona
A massive snowstorm that swept the southwest on Thursday has dumped 31 inches of snow in Flagstaff, Arizona. Schools and roads shut down as this storm broke the snowfall record that has stood for over 100 years. The previous record of 31 inches was set on December 30th, 1915. At 5 p.m. on Thursday the Flagstaff Airport and the National Weather Service had already measured the storm total at 31.6 inches. Other parts of Arizona also reported over 2 feet of snow.
