East Coast MLK Snow Roundup

East Coast MLK Snow Roundup

Snow continued to fall overnight and into Monday morning across many resorts on the East Coast this holiday weekend. It was a very welcome sight to see the white stuff in New England, which has had a slower start to winter than usual. Here’s what our friends at OpenSnow have to say:

“Many resorts are reporting their best conditions of the season with lots of fresh powder, packed powder, and >90% open terrain dropping ropes left and right. It’s finally winter. The regional snow depths in the mountains are now finally topping 24 inches.”

Let’s take a look at the resorts and see what this fresh pow looks like in this MLK Weekend edition of the resort roundup!

Snow and blowy at Jay Peak bringing 19 in. of new snow snow over the weekend!

No Sunday Scaries at Sunday River, reporting a fresh 9 inches!

Hey there, Winter! Take a seat and stay a while. 19″ reported at Stratton.

5″ for Loon Mountain in New Hampshire

Just gotta take it one flake at a time!

Here’s hoping this weekend’s storm is the one that finally kicks the door open to a deeper winter. Sounds like the East Coast has two potential rounds of light snow likely this week, with prospects for more significant snowfall in the forecast next week.

As always be sure to checkout the forecast closest to you and your home mountain over at OpenSnow.
