The Snow Report S6 E11: HUGE California Snowfall & Killington’s King of Covid

This week on the show, Halley kicks back with her favorite unit of measurement, cracking open a can of our very own Snow RePORTER. Later in the show, she will use those very cans to measure the mammoth amounts of snowfall in California over the past week. Tune in and see who wins the first ever Snow RePORTER Winner of the Week award. This accolade is given to the resort which recorded the most cans of snow in recent days!

The More You Know with OpenSnow

Halley checks the forecast with our friends over at OpenSnow. The week ahead sees continued potential for flakes in the Pow-cific Northwest. Light storms continue on the other side the country with more action across New England. But, the central Rockies just might be in the running for next week’s Snow RePORTER Award, with 2-3 feet forecast from Jackson Hole all the way down to Aspen.

For more with OpenSnow tune in Thursday 2/4 for another edition of our Fireside Chats. This weeks guest will be New England forecaster Jay Cordeira. We’re learning all about his involvement with atmospheric river reconnaissance. Which New England mountains get the most natural snow? And if he is STILL a Tom Brady fan despite Brady moving onto sunnier pastures.

Killington’s King of Covid

Lastly, Halley shares how Killington’s resident enforcer is helping keep everyone safe by reminding them to keep their masks up… or else!
